Goal sensation, Bojan Krkic continues rapid rise to the top.
Barca B and Spanish Junior National Team goal-machine, Bojan Krkic has been selected as one of the best players in Spain who are under 21 years of age. Although this award is ordinarily meant for players who are bit nearer to the 21 years limit, Bojan, who is still 16 years, was overwhelmingly voted to be among the best in the older category for the 2007 draft as a result of the young meastro's excessive skills and brilliant show of football and goal scoring skills for both Club and Country.
The event took place at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid and was witnesed by a host of dignitaries that included Inaki Saez, ex- Spanish National Team Coach; François Blaquart of the French Federation; Edgar Alvaro Borges, ex- player and member of the Portuguese Federation; and the ex- Rumanian player Gica Craioveanu.
Saez poured accolades on young Bojan Krkic, highlighting his talents and potentials as a strong hope for the future of Soanish football.
Saez also explained why Bojan Krkic was given leave from the Spanish U-20 Side that will play in the forthcoming 2007 U-20 World Cup in Canada:

We reached a concesssion with Bojan Krkic's team, Barcelona to give Bojan rest as we decided it was necessary to take care of him and ensure his well being for both him and his club.
Krkic was shortlisted for particpation in the Canada '07 World Cup with the U-20 Spain side, despite being also shortlisted for participation in the U-17 World Cup coming up in Korea in this same 2007. Bojan, after playing his debut for both Spain U-21 and FC Barcelona senior team has also been shortlisted for two training tours with the Barcelona Senior team before the new season commences and is a prime draft to play in the La Liga with FC Barcelona, although Ajax Amsterdam and a host of other clubs are seeking to get the young striker for at least. a year's loan to their clubs.
Camp Nou prefer to retain Bojan Krkic.
The issue of where Bojan plays also gave rise to a discussion during the occassion in Madrid, which bothered on the conastant loss of young talents produced by Barca B and by Spain to other countries and Leagues worldwide. Inaki Saez says of this:

The problem is that Spain is a country where talents are more of bought from rather than sold to.
Many clubs spend many years nuturing and tutroing their juvenile players into youthfulness and just when they should benefit from this, other clubs come and sweep them away. There are three stages in a players development, which are The Stage of Discovery, The Stage of Formation and The Stage of Explosion. Many clubs only notice a player during the stage of explosion and come and buy them out instantly.
Saez gave examples with the likes of Raul Gonzalez of Real Madrid, along with Cesc Fabregas and Gerard Pique, who have both been bought by top English Premiership sides after growing through many labour and work intensive years in Spain.
The world watches to see how young Bojan Krkic will end up, wether he plays in Spain for his mentor club, FC Barcelona, thus, reversing the dangerous trend of player-drain in Spain, especially in Barcelona.
