Bojan was spectacular all through the game and Coach Frank Rijkaard couldn't help but leave the teen wonder on the pitch for the full 90 minutes of the match, as the crowd - and Rijkaard's tactics - were in sync with the displays and ball distribution by Bojan Krkic. After the match in which a lone strike by French goal king Thierry Henry was the only goal of the match that gave FC Barcelona victory, the press looked for and found young Bojan Krkic, who they interviewed. Bojan made comments on the match as follows:

I think the most important thing is to win and stay alive in the three competitions. We’re in a situation where the result is more important. We must be patient. We’ll soon start playing well. Madrid could have dropped some points today but the most important thing was for us to win. Villarreal are difficult on their own ground. We’ll try and get a good result in the first leg.

Bojan Krkic will feature for Barca in two closely scheduled matches this week. The first in El Madrigal against Villarreal in the Copa del Rey quarter -final match first leg, and the second match in San Mames against Athletico Bilbao in the La Liga just two days after the Villarreal game.

Calls for the urgent inclusion of Bojan Krkic in the FC Barcelona senior team were heard in many rounds after the gifted teen was visibly absent from the La Liga opening day encounter of FC Barcelona against Racing Santander. The match ended in a goalless draw, leading to a situation where the star studded Barca squad will have to struggle to keep up with the league toppers, Sevilla and others. In reaction, Bojan says:

I appeal for everyone to be patient. The match against Santander was a difficult one. The first team surely has enough quality to lift it's game. I really appreciate the comments from people to have me back in the sqaud as soon as possible, but I also know that even in my absence, things will still go well for Barca. I have no doubt about the quality players in the sqaud and their ability to meet up to any demnds and standards required of them. However, I look forward to rejoining the team after the world cup ends.

Bojan Krkic was missing in the Barcelona attack on Saturday which lacked much fire-power and did not score against Racing Santander in their first match of the Spanish Primera for the 2007/08 season.
